The Ritz Club Roulette
The Ritz Club, Picadilly, London
150 Piccadilly, St. James’s, London W1J 9BS, UK.
The Ritz Club in London is one of the most exclusive gaming venues in the world and a famous destination for high roller roulette players, not least because of the Eastern European team who had a £1.3 million roulette win here by clocking their wheels. It oozes the kind of class that Las Vegas casinos like the Bellagio can only envy.
But it’s an altogether smaller affair. This ain´t no Vegas casino, but you´ll be moving in very different circles to the crowds you´ll find at other West End venues like the Grosvenor G Piccadilly Casino or Aspers in Stratford.
They used to have an online casino (going back a few years) that ran on Cryptologic software, if our memory serves us correctly, but that was discontinued some time ago. If you want to play roulette at the Ritz these days, you will need to head for London!
So where do you play roulette online, if you want a casino that gives you that premium feel?
We’d recommend Luxury Casino (£1000 Bonus).
The Ritz is a Member Only Club and is owned by the Ritz Hotel Casino Company Ltd- it´s targetting similar high roller customers to the Les Ambassadeurs roulette tables. Rich and powerful ones!
In theory, anyone aged 18 or over is eligible for membership. You need to complete a form to apply for membership of the Club, and then be elected by the Club (which has the final say).
Oh sorry, did we mention the membership fee, which they set?
It’s £1000, so as you can see that they are targeting the high rollers. They also have “Honorary Members” who do not need to pay a membership fee. In short, if they like you, you are in. If you are a guest at the hotel, that also helps, of course. It’s a club for serious gamers. If you just want a flutter, you are better off walking along to the Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square. It’s not quite as exclusive.
If you want to join, you’ll need to complete a membership application form which you can get from Reception at The Ritz Club or by emailing them on enquiries@theritzclub.com.
You’ll need to bring photo ID on your first visit to the Club for them to complete your application.
The Ritz Club’s main gaming room is in the former ballroom of the Ritz hotel- it’s a pretty impressive space, and you’ll certainly feel you’re somewhere special. Roulette is one of the most popular games, but guests also play blackjack, Punto Banco and Three Card Poker. There are quite a few VIP gaming rooms, where the serious bets are made behind the velvet rope.

Tables at the Ritz
In the main gaming salon, there are 4 roulette tables, 3 blackjack, 2 Three Card Poker and 2 baccarat tables.
Then you have the Carmen Room with 2 more roulette tables plus a blackjack and baccarat table.
The Amber Room has 2 more roulette tables and a couple of baccarat tables, and then the Aida Room has 2 more baccarat tables. All the favourite high roller games!
Roulette minimum bets start at £5, blackjack starts at £25. The maximum table limits are “available on request”- i.e. they are negotiable.
Restaurants and Bars
The Ritz Club is not only famous for its gambling. It was here, so the story goes, that Johnny Depp developed a taste for Irish Whiskey at the Bar. You’ll find an amazing collection of fine champagnes and malt whiskies here.
Then there’s the award-winning Restaurant which serves Chinese, Thai, Indian and Middle Eastern dishes for its international customers. Our favourite? That has to be the All Day Dim Sum menu! The Piccadilly breakfast is also good- 2 eggs cooked as you like, bacon rashers, sausage, back pudding, grilled tomato and mushroom. Plus tea or coffee of course.
Which is just as well, as the Club is now open 24 hours a day.
