Buried Life Bet $250,000 on Roulette
Was this the Biggest Roulette Win In Las Vegas History?
No, but it was up there!
Are you looking for the biggest roulette win in the history of Vegas? This is one of the bigger ones!
This video shows the so called “Biggest Roulette Bet in Vegas which was made by the cast from MTV show Buried Life, at Golden Gate Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada,
The casino got some great PR from the MTV hit reality show, “The Buried Life.”
“The Buried Life” is about four kids with a “Bucket List” of 100 things they want to do before they die.
No. 75 was to make a million bucks.
The boys put $125,000 on even money roulette bets and try to roll it over 3 times, and ended up making the largest roulette bet in Las Vegas history which was $250,000 before losing. They didn’t make their million bucks. It all happened at the Golden Gate Casino. That’s peanuts compared to the Mike Ashley roulette bet in London, by the way. just saying, Buried Life fans!
How did the Biggest Roulette Bet Work Out?
Well, they bet $125,000 on red, and won so had $250,000. Then they made a $250,000 bet on black and….lost. The picture to the left was taken after the first bet (obviously).
The casino gave them $50,000 back which they gave to a charity of their choice.
The losing bet? Black. They should have let it ride on red!
Why DownTown Vegas?
Even the owner at the Golden Gate Casino was surprised they hadn’t gone for one of the flash casino establishments up on The Strip, like the Bellagio or something. But if you watch the crowd, you can see why they chose DownTown
Derek Stevens, owner of the Golden Gate Casino on Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas, said at the time: “I was contacted by the President of Fremont Street Experience, Jeff Victor, and he asked me if I was interested in taking the bet that was being offered by MTV,” said
“I was surprised because I thought that one of the MGM properties or the Palms or Hard Rock would have done it. Because we’re a small place, no one thought we’d be interested but I jumped at the opportunity. I figured we have the oldest venue in all of Las Vegas and this would be a great opportunity to publicize our total renovation and get people to know that we’re a casino that’s more like a nightclub than any other place in Vegas. We play music loud, have dancing girls inside and outside the building and the place is usually packed until 4 or 5 AM,”.
The Buried Life boys had to bet $125,000 on an even money roulette bet and parlay (let it ride) it three times. The Golden Gate was obligated to take the bets as they kept winning.”
