Another one of the Announce Bets, or Call Bets, is the Jeu Zero (Zero Game) which as you might have guessed, involves the zero. You may see this bet on some of the more premium online variants.

This is played on a European or preferably a French Roulette table (where the wheel only has one 0 unlike American Roulette which will give you worse odds).

Jeu Zero is a mini version of Voisins Du Zero (which is the most famous Roulette Neighbors Bet) covering the 2 numbers to the zero’s right (when looking at the wheel) and the 4 numbers to the zero’s left.

If 26 lands in, you get a 36:1 pay out, and if anything else lands in you get an 18:1 payout. Other Call Bets include the Snake Bet and the 007 Bet.

The Zero game, (Zero Spiel in case you were thinking of playing roulette in Germany), is a stripped-down version of the Voisins du Zero Bet. The bet covers the 0, and the numbers around it, but not as many as you cover in the Voisins bet.

You bet on the following: 0, 3, 12, 15, 26, 32, 35. But you only use four chips, as you cover some numbers in a split bet (covering 2 numbers), as follows:

1 chip on 0/3 split, 1 on 12-15 split, 1 on 26 straight up and 1 on 32-35 split.

We’d recommend Premium French Roulette for this.

Pros and Cons

  • A fast way of covering seven numbers or 18.8% of the wheel
  • Makes a good, less volatile “insurance bet” on the ball landing in zero
  • Not all of the bets are split bets, there is one straight up bet on 26
