Genting Casino International
There’s nothing like a break from the big smoke to try out a top notch casino, a welcome diversion from the capital led me to check out the big-boy casino, Genting Casino International, connected to the mega Resorts World development, part of the world-famous NEC in Birmingham. We wouldn’t call Birmingham an exotic place to play (head to our “Top Ten Casinos in Europe” article for that!), but we would recommend a visit to Genting if you happen to be in the area.
This casino is part of the larger, massive Resorts World that boasts a smart hotel, cinemas, shopping, spa and pretty much anything else you can think of! I couldn’t wait to try my luck at Genting Casino International, part of the global mega business, to find out what this large casino could offer a roulette enthusiast.
So this place is big, really big. OK, so it’s not going to make our Macau Top 10 Casinos list, but we are talking Birmingham, not the Cotai Strip! It didn’t make our top 10 European Casinos list either, but come on….it’s hard for the West Midlands to compete with Monaco! It has a lot of slots and electronic gaming spots as well as a wide range of table games- just as you’d expect. I was pretty happy with my options, the casino boasts 12 roulette tables with American roulette on offer, so there’s plenty of room to manoeuvre and enjoy the hustle bustle without having to wait for a table to accommodate your game.
One big advantage of a casino on this scale is that if you fancy a little distraction at the roulette table, this place is open 24 hours a day to make the most of the fun on offer.
Genting Casino Roulette
For the roulette fan or novice there is fun to be had. If you are a novice keen to break your roulette cherry then there are packages available, a chance to learn the ropes of the game and to get started on your career in wheel spinning fun. For those players who are more serious about their gameplay Genting Casino International does have private gaming with two Salon Privées! And if you fancy a break from the luxurious interior but still want to play, there’s a smart outside gaming area to accommodate the action and a lively vibe there on a busy night.
And for those roulette fans out there who love to play on the green baize of a land-based casino but also enjoy dabbling in online roulette, then you might be interested to know that Genting Casino International has worked with Evolution Gaming to host their Dual Roulette games from this well-known casino, with a maximum bet limit of £1,200. This is your chance to get involved with some roulette being shared with other aficionados from around the world! But don’t worry, you won’t have to be concerned about having your face beamed across the world- this is a game that keeps its players identity private from online players!
Of course as you’d expect of a casino of this size, there are online roulette games on hand if you’d prefer the privacy of your own roulette game. While you take a break from the table games there are plenty of places to unwind including bars, but beware, this place can get busy and at times you have to wait for service!
This is a place where you don’t have to don your best suit, you are expected to dress smartly with the usual caveats about sports colours, you know the drill, but this as always can cause disappointment for some on busy nights so be careful what you wear!
Genting International is a mega casino in a mega complex. For those of you who like to play their roulette in glitzy style then this is as near to Vegas as the UK is likely to get, but there’s still a way to go to make the service as slick as that you’d receive in the States.
For the American roulette aficionado there’s plenty to keep you entertained on the tables all hosted by professional croupiers as well as a host of smart distractions away from the wheel. A great place for some serious fun outside the capital.
