About
When strong rumours emerged that Daniel Craig was continuing as James Bond it ended years of speculation as to who would be next to take up the 007 role. With a film confirmed for 2019, and Daniel Craig seemingly all but confirmed, we turn our heads to the rest of the cast and the prestigious Bond girl role.
For Your Eyes Only: Who will be the next Bond girl? has analysed the attributes of every Bond girl throughout the franchise’s history taking into account age, hair colour, height, as well as nationality and previous films to discover what makes the perfect Bond girl.
What Makes the Perfect Bond Girl?
Taking into account 72 Bond girls, we discovered exactly 007’s type, and it really is a view to kill...
- Average Age: 28
- Hair Colour: Brown
- Most common genre of film: Drama
- Nationality: English
- Height: 170cm
- Number of films before Bond: 9
- Years Between First Film and Bond: 7
So, Who's Next?
With casting due at any moment, we’ve crunched all the numbers (and hair colours) and created a shortlist of actresses best suited to play James’ next romance.
Using all the data above, and a special weighting system, For Your Eyes Only: Who Will Be The Bond’s Next Girl? has revealed the top 10 actresses most suited to be the next Bond girl.
How it works
The method in ranking potential Bond girls was measured as follows...
Each attribute was given a point score based on their order of importance. The attributes were scored as:
- Age: 7
- Hair: 6
- Most common genre of film: 5
- Nationality: 4
- Height: 3
- Years between first film and Bond: 2
- Number of films before Bond: 1
The prospective actresses were then ranked from 1-10 based on how close they were to the Bond girl average with 10 being most like and one being least like. Each rank number was then multiplied by the attributes score to discover who is most suited to be the next Bond girl.
All research was correct at the time of publication.
